Notes: This Fair Trade Organic comes from East Timor and is sourced from family-owned farms organized around Cooperativa Cafe Timor or CCT. East Timor has a long history of coffee cultivation dating back 400 years; however, coffee leaf rust destroyed all production. It wasn’t until the 1900s that a new varietal was introduced to the island and coffee production began to grow once more. CCT focuses on providing free healthcare and has funded seven rural clinics, three mobile clinic teams, and eleven community healthcare teams since 2001.
